I’m missing some, but the point is
I’m getting so tired of the superiority complex people seem to have over these guys and gals. For some reason there’s this unwritten rule that if you like Game Grumps or Dopefish, you HAVE to hate Pewdie. If you like Two Best Friends, you HAVE to hate Smosh playing games. Its ridiculous to me, because I love them all for DIFFERENT reasons, while they are not all “LPers” perse, there’s no reason to hate them for thinking that we enjoy watching them play games, because the truth is, we do.
They are all entertaining to me in different ways. But thats the beauty of it, I dont want to watch a bunch of people doing the same thing, I want the variety of different takes on the whole “lets record ourselves playing games and comment on it” thing. Sure, they may sometimes be annoying, make bad jokes, or whatever. But they ALL do it, so why try to villainize one while glorifying another?
I don’t like everything about any of them, but I dont hate everything about any of them either. Most of the time its their fans or their community following that makes us lose respect for them, but this should never be the case. You should never base an LPers personality or intentions on the shortcomings of their fanbase. These are PEOPLE, not mass produced commodities.
Video games are not a sport, guys. No one is playing on “teams”. Theyre all in it for the same thing: YOUR entertainment. None of them have to do any of it, there’s a hundred other things they could be doing in this world to “make revenue”. They just happen to like games and want to share their experiences with you. This is NOT something you should take for granted.

More than 80,000 people so far have signed a petition on Change.org started by community activist Malika Sanders-Fortier, calling on the city council to stop construction and remove the monument. The statue is of Confederate General Nathan Forrest — infamous as the first Grand Wizard of the Klan and for massacring black Union soldiers at the Civil War battle of Fort Pillow.
Selma is home to some of the most important events of the Civil Rights Movement — including “Bloody Sunday,” when 600 activists fighting for African-American voting rights were attacked by state and local police.
Unless the city council stops it, a “bigger and better than ever” monument will be constructed to honor Nathan Bedford Forrest. A group called Friends of Forrest built the original monument, and now the group is planning to lay concrete for a new foundation, add a new bust of the KKK founder, enclose the monument in a wrought iron gate, and add night lighting.
This Friday, Malika and other community members who oppose the monument will march in a reenactment of the historic Bloody Sunday march, and deliver petition signatures in person to a member of the Selma city council.

just because someone is not sharing in your struggle, just because they have not suffered as much as you have, does not mean they are not a worthwhile ally
no, they don’t understand. they can never understand. I will never know what it is like to be transgendered, to not fit in the right body. that is not a problem I will ever understand the pain of, no matter how much research I do, or how many trans friends I make, or trans people I kiss, I’m never gonna get it. but that does not mean that I should be disregarded, or that I am stupid, or that I cannot possibly be an educator.
